Crash on SR-16 leads to delays and lane closures in Gig Harbor

GIG HARBOR, WA – A collision on State Route 16 led to traffic delays and lane closures in Gig Harbor this afternoon, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Collision on SR 16 EB at MP 12.01 near Wollochet Dr NW beginning at 2:15 pm on March 28, 2021 until further notice. The left lane is blocked.

The accident happened at about 2:15 p.m. on eastbound State Route 16, near milepost 12.01 and Wollochet Drive NW.

The left lane was blocked for about an hour as a result of the accident.

The roadway was cleared by 3:10 p.m.

There is no word yet on possible injuries or the cause of the crash.
