Commuters become stuck as crash blocks I-5 offramp near Tukwila
Request Free ConsultationKING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle collision Friday morning blocked traffic on an Interstate 5 offramp in Tukwila’s Foster neighborhood, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
On the I-5 northbound off-ramp to SR 599 there is a collision blocking the ramp.

The accident impacted the ramp connecting I-5 northbound to westbound State Route 599 shortly before 5:35 a.m.
By 6:22 a.m., the offramp was reported closed. Motorists stuck behind the crash were being diverted by Washington State Patrol and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) back onto I-5 northbound.

Authorities also shut down the right lane on I-5 northbound at South 144th Street to accommodate the detoured drivers.

By 7:49 a.m., more than two hours later, the crash was reported cleared from the offramp.
