GRANT COUNTY, WA – First responders rushed one driver to an area hospital with serious injuries following a crash involving two pickup trucks and a sedan on State Route 17.

The accident happened around 7:30 a.m., according to a tweet from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. Washington State Trooper John Bryant reported that one driver was taken to Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

State Route 17 at State Route 262 was closed while officials conducted their investigation, but reopened by 9:45 a.m.

Bryant said he believes icy conditions on the road contributed to the collision.
