Collision, construction causes traffic jam on I-5 NB near SeaTac
Request Free ConsultationKING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Wednesday morning was blocking the HOV lane on Interstate 5 northbound and contributing to a traffic backup near SeaTac, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-5 just south of South 188th Street and was first reported at 5:45 a.m. by WSDOT.
At 6:32 a.m., almost an hour after the initial report, the crash scene still remained in the HOV lane. The accident, combined with lingering delays caused by earlier construction work, lengthened the morning commute of Federal Way drivers.
At 7:03 a.m., the scene was reported cleared from the HOV lane.
No further information on the incident has been reported at this time.
