Collision closes two lanes on I-5 SB near U-District in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident Tuesday morning shut down two left lanes on Interstate 5 southbound near the U-District in Seattle, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
Update 6:39 AM : On I-5 southbound just south of NE 45th St there is a collision blocking the 2 left lanes.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 Express just south of Northeast 45th Street and was first reported at 6:39 a.m.
Traffic footage shared by WSDOT shows police responding to the scene and suggests at least two vehicles were involved in the crash.
At 7:15 a.m., the collision was reported to have cleared from the lanes.
No further information has been reported confirming the number of vehicles involved, the cause of the crash, or any injuries sustained.
