Collision causes delays on I-5 near Southcenter in Tukwila
Request Free ConsultationKING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Friday afternoon shut down several lanes on Interstate 5 in the Southcenter area of Tukwila, reports Washington State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on I-5 northbound, just south of I-405 shortly before 12:33 p.m.
It is unclear at this time what led up to the accident, but at least two vehicles were involved..
Only one left lane remained open to passing motorists, creating a heavy traffic backup.
At 1:50 p.m., three other lanes were reopened, though a stall remained as crews continued working to clear the impacted vehicles.

By 2:05, all northbound lanes had been reopened.
