Collision blocks two lanes on I-5 south in Olympia

OLYMPIA, WA — A collision between two vehicles Tuesday evening blocked two lanes on Interstate 5 south in Olympia, according to Trooper Robert Reyer with the Washington State Patrol for District 1.

The accident happened just south of Pacific Avenue and was reported around 6:03 p.m.
Minor injuries were reported, but no other information has been disclosed about the number of people involved.
An image share by Trooper Reyer showed the front of one vehicle completely mangled.
Crews with the Olympia Fire Department and Tacoma’s Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) responded to the scene.
Two right lanes were affected, causing delays in the area. As of 6:16 p.m. that evening, the road was reported to be back open.
