Citizen helps track down hit-and-run driver who allegedly killed 18-year-old pedestrian
Request Free ConsultationTACOMA, WA – An 18-year-old pedestrian was allegedly struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver who was tracked down with the help of a citizen in Tacoma early this morning, according to information from KOMO News.
The crash happened near the intersection of Portland Avenue and E 44th Street at around 5:45 a.m., after an 18-year-old pedestrian was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead after the crash.
A citizen followed the suspect’s vehicle and gave a description of his license plate.
The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old man, was then taken into police custody on multiple charges, including felony hit-and-run and vehicular homicide.
