Carjacker crashes stolen vehicle with child on board in west SeattleRequest Free Consultation
SEATTLE, WA — A car with a toddler inside was stolen Thursday evening and was later involved in a collision in west Seattle’s Riverview area, according to West Seattle Blog.
The crash happened at the intersection of Highland Park Way Southwest and Southwest Othello Street shortly before 5:54 p.m.
A spokesperson with the King County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle involved was stolen less than an hour earlier in White Center. The father of the child had been able to trace and pursue the carjacker to west Seattle when the collision occurred.
Authorities said the toddler was taken to Seattle Children’s Hospital for a precautionary evaluation.
The suspect was detained at the scene.
No information has been released on any pending charges, but an investigation remains in progress.
