Car slams into Marysville residence, kills 97-year-old woman

MARYSVILLE, WA – A 97-year-old woman was killed and a bicyclist was injured after a car crashed into a Marysville residence at the 8400 block of 55th Ave.
According to South Sound News, the accident occurred early Saturday morning around 2 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old man from Marysville, struck a 25-year-old bicyclist before continuing down the street and crashing into the home. The 97-year-old woman who was asleep inside that home died was struck and killed instantly.
Police suspect that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
