Car slams into cement wall on State Route 16

PIERCE COUNTY, WA – A car slammed into the cement barricade on the left shoulder of eastbound State Route 16 Friday morning, but the driver did not sustain any injuries.

The crash happened around 8:00 a.m. on SR 16 near Jackson Street. A photo from the scene shows the damage to the car’s front end, and that the vehicle is facing the wrong direction.
The car spilled oil and coolant on the roadway, which was cleaned up by WSDOT Tacoma.
