Car fire sparks brush fire along I-5 near Fife

FIFE, WA – Tacoma Fire responded to reports of a car fire on Interstate 5 near milepost 139 that set the nearby brush on fire as well on Thursday.

Tacoma Fire reported the incident around 12 p.m. via Twitter. Crews extinguished the car fire and quickly got the brush fire under control, knocking it down completely by 1:11 p.m. All hot spots were extinguished by 2 p.m.
No one was injured in this fire.
