Burien, Washington (July 27, 2019) – A brush fire broke out near State Route 509 on Saturday evening. While the fire came dangerously close to homes in the area, firefighters were able to contain and put out the flames. Fortunately no injuries were reported in the incident.

One of the known locations of the fire was on the freeway across from the Kennedy Catholic High School. Additionally, the fire caused State Route 509 to be closed at 160th Street.
