Bicyclist severely injured after being hit by school bus on Lake City Way

SEATTLE, WA – A bicyclist was severely injured after being struck by a school bus on Lake City Way on Wednesday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The crash occurred on Lake City Way NE and NE 120^th Street, when a bicyclist reportedly crossed the street against the traffic light. The bicyclist was then struck by a school bus which luckily had no children aboard.

The bicyclist sustained severe injuries to the leg and foot and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
