Bicyclist injured in hit-and-run crash on SR 109 in Hoquiam

HOQUIAM, WA — A 31-year-old Seattle man was injured Monday night in a hit-and-run collision while biking near State Route 109 in Hoquiam, according to KXRO News.

The incident occurred on the shoulder of SR 109 southbound near Hogan’s Corner Airport-5WA8 at around 11:00 p.m.

The bicyclist was riding along the shoulder when an unknown vehicle struck him from behind and continued driving southbound.

The man was rushed to Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital where his condition is currently undisclosed.

Little information has been reported on the causing vehicle that fled, but Washington State Patrol has described it as a black sedan missing a passenger side mirror.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
