Bellingham, Washington – Minor Injuries in Car-RV Collision at Interstate 5

Bellingham, Washington (December 3, 2019) – One person sustained injuries in a collision involving an SUV and an RV on southbound Interstate 5 at Guide Meridian on Tuesday morning. The driver of the SUV was reported to have sustained minor injuries and was not reported to require hospitalization. No other injuries were reported in the incident. The involved vehicles were said to have been heavily damaged and blocked the lanes.

According to the report from the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 10 a.m. The SUV was said to have caused the accident by going too fast on the wet roadway conditions, and when the driver lost control his vehicle spun in front of the RV. The incident caused traffic to be down to one lane.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
