Bellevue, Washington (November 12, 2019) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash involving eight vehicles at the intersection of Richards Road and Southeast 36th Street on Tuesday evening. The two patients were reported to have sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The crash occurred around 6 p.m. According to the report from investigators, a a driver cut across another vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and swerve into oncoming lanes. This caused a chain-reaction of crashes that involved six other vehicles. The driver of the vehicle that lost control was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Officers from the Bellevue Police Department are looking for the driver of the car that cut across the first vehicle. The scene was cleared by 7 p.m.
