Authorities announce cause of three-vehicle injury accident in Auburn

AUBURN, WA. – A King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson has updated the public on the cause of a three-vehicle crash that sent three people to the hospital over Memorial Day weekend.
According to KOMO NEWS, the three-vehicle head-on collision occurred on the 18200 block of Green Valley Road on Sunday morning. Police say that speeding and unsafe passing were the cause of the crash. According to eyewitnesses, a driver in a Subaru was attempting to maneuver around a Ford F-150 on Green Valley Road when he hit a red Mercedes head-on.
A passenger in the Subaru was listed in critical condition and the driver of the Mercedes was in serious condition. Both were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Subaru was transported to Harborview by ambulance.
