EDMONDS, WA – A car accident was reported on I-5 in Edmond early Thursday morning, according to the area Department of Transportation incident tracker.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 at 236th Street NE at about 5:15 a.m.

An emergency response team that included medics, firefighters, and police officers quickly arrived at the crash scene.

Two lanes were blocked and remained so for at least an hour.

There has been no update on the condition of the parties involved in the accident. Further details have not yet become available.
