A car caught fire on Interstate 5 Thursday, blocking two off-ramps

TACOMA, WA – A car fire on southbound Interstate 5 near the off-ramp to South 72nd Street blocked both that exit and the 84th Street exit Thursday afternoon.
Updated: Vehicle fire on I-5 SB at milepost 129.59, on the ramp to S 72nd St. Beginning at 12:53 pm on July 16, 2020 until further notice. The off-ramps to EB 72nd St and 84th St are closed.

It is not clear what caused the accident or if anyone was hurt.
First responders arrived on the scene just before 1 p.m.
