KING COUNTY, WA — Two 19-year-olds were killed early Sunday after a single-vehicle rollover wreck on Interstate 5 near Southcenter in Tukwila, reports Renton Reporter.

The accident took place on the northbound interstate near the Southcenter mall at around 12:19 a.m.

According to Washington State Patrol, a 19-year-old man was driving a vehicle at high speed when he lost control of the car. The vehicle spun out and collided with an attenuator barrier, causing the car to flip onto its roof.

Responding troopers arrived to find the vehicle severely wrecked and were unable to access the victims due to the amount of damage.

Both the driver and a 19-year-old woman, the car’s only other occupant, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

WSP indicated on their incident report that neither victim was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fatal accident.
