EVERETT, WA – A 76-year-old driver has been arrested for drunk driving following a four-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 north of Everett on Wednesday.
According to KOMO News, the Marysville man was driving north on I-5 when he slammed his Dodge Ram pickup into two vehicles. The man then veered into oncoming traffic, hitting one car and driving another from the road.
State Troopers began a pursuit that reportedly reached speeds of 90 mph. They successfully stopped the suspect using a PIT maneuver which made the pickup truck overturn along the interstate.
Of the parties in the four vehicles the DUI suspect struck, including a Marysville city bus, only one person reported minor injuries.
The driver has been taken to the county jail and been charged with DUI and eluding.
