50-year-old pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries following crash

TUKWILA, WA – A 50-year-old woman sustained serious injuries when the driver of a car ran up onto the sidewalk at the intersection of 37th Ave S and S 144th St and hit her.
According to a press release from the Tukwila police, the accident happened just after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Police arrested the 27-year-old male driver on suspicion of DUI and vehicular assault. The woman, who was sitting on a concrete sign near the sidewalk, has not been identified.
