ALLEN, WA (SKAGIT COUNTY) – A 23-year-old woman was killed and a 19-year-old woman was hurt in a collision in the Skagit Valley last night, according to My Edmonds News.

The crash happened near Allen, located northwest of Burlington, at the intersection of Chuckanut Dr and Field Rd when a 23-year-old woman from Concrete allegedly ran a stop sign. The woman, driving a 2008 Toyota Yaris, then collided with a 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Edmonds man Joseph Cooper.

The driver of the Yaris was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

19-year-old Edmonds woman Bethany Moore, a passenger in the Dakota, was also taken to Skagit Valley for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Cooper was not reported as injured in the collision.
