21-year-old driver killed in alleged street racing crash on Aurora Ave

SEATTLE, WA – A 21-year-old driver was killed in an alleged street racing crash on Aurora Avenue late last night, according to KOMO News.
The crash occurred on Aurora Ave N and N 145th Street at about 10:45 p.m., as a group of drivers was allegedly racing. One of those drivers reportedly performed a U-turn. He then, while traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with the rear of a semi-truck that had stopped at a red light.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, was trapped within the wreckage.
Despite the rescue efforts of emergency crews who pulled him free, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other people were reported as injured.
