SEATTLE, WA – A driver was arrested for DUI after causing a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 5 that left two teenage boys injured on Wednesday night.

According to KOMO News, the accident happened on southbound I-5 near Airport Way. The driver of a van slammed on their brakes, causing an Infiniti behind them to swerve to avoid hitting them. The Infiniti hit a nearby Dodge Charger, knocking it off the highway. The Dodge landed on its roof on Airport Way below the interstate. Two of the three teenage boys inside the Dodge – one 17 and the other 18 years old – were rushed to Harborview Medical Center.

According to Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson, one person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Johnson did not confirm which vehicle the suspect was driving.
