1 dead, 1 injured in motorcycle vs. car crash on SR-11 in Chuckanut

CHUCKANUT, WA – One person was killed and another was injured in a motorcycle collision on State Route 11 in Chuckanut, near Bellingham last night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers now on scene of a serious injury car vs motorcycle head on collision on SR 11 (Chuckanut Dr) and Sound View Rd south of Bellingham. Road is completely blocked and no ETA for re-opening. Expect an extended closure and use alternative routes.

The crash happened on WA-11 (Chuckanut Drive) and Sound View Road around 5 p.m., when a motorcycle and a car collided.
A passenger on the motorcycle died as a result of the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The driver of the car was not hurt in the crash.
