Yakima, Washington – Woman Hospitalized After Getting Struck by a Car That Crashed into Her Home

Yakima, Washington (August 25, 2019) – A woman was taken to a hospital after getting struck by a car that crashed into her home at the 200 block of North 10th Street on Sunday night. She was found trapped underneath the car and required extrication. She was initially taken to a local hospital, but was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver, identified as Alejandro Rosario-Brambila, appears to be uninjured in the incident and has been arrested by the police.

Police responded to the incident around 10 p.m. Upon arrival, they found that the car had almost completely entered the structure and that the victim had been trapped. Crews from the Yakima Fire Department extricated the victim after 25 minutes. Investigation on he case is ongoing, but the police believe drugs or alcohol may be involved in the incident.
