Yakima, Washington – One Injured In Two Vehicle Crash, One of the Vehicles Involved Reported Stolen

Yakima, Washington (May 8, 2019) – The driver of a sedan was injured after a a stolen car crashed into his vehicle at the intersection of West Nob Hill Boulevard and 34th Avenue. The injured driver was helped out of his vehicle, but the severity of his injuries has not been provided. The stolen vehicle fled the scene despite police pursuit.

The car thief was caught on surveillance cameras early Wednesday morning as he broke into a house and stole a black Kia. The same car was later seen causing the crash as a witness saw the stolen car speed through the intersection. The thief ran away from the scene, and despite a perimeter set up by police, the thief was able to get away. The crash caused West Nob Hill Boulevard to close down between the 32nd Avenue and 38th Avenue.

Of those accidents, 525 were fatal and 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
