Request Free ConsultationYakima, Washington (July 13, 2019) – A brush fire broke out in the bottom of the hill at Cowiche Canyon Road and West Powerhouse Road on Sunday evening. The fire grew to affect five acres, but was contained by firefighters on the same day. No injuries were reported.
According to firefighters the blaze broke out around 6 p.m. Windy conditions made fighting the fire more complicated, and it took firefighters some time before the fire was knocked down. The cause has not yet been determined. The fire caused nearby road to be closed down, but have since been reopened.
