LAKEWOOD, WA – Two Washington State Troopers were taken to the hospital late Wednesday night when a Trooper crashed into a coworker’s patrol car on Interstate 5 near Berkeley Ave.
According to KOMO News, the first Trooper arrived on the scene of an accident where a driver had fallen asleep and hit the barrier on I-5. A second Trooper arriving at the scene lost control of their patrol car due to the slick road conditions and crashed into the first, which then crashed into the civilian’s car.
The civilian was not injured. The two Troopers were taken to St. Clare Hospital with minor injuries.
