Worker dead, another in critical condition following construction accident

SEATTLE, WA – A construction accident in the Central District area this afternoon led to the death of one man and the critical injury of another, according to KOMO News.

The accident happened in the 800 block of 32nd Avenue near E Marion Street at about 3 p.m., as a crew was working on a church building.

A gust of wind blew a scaffolding ladder into an electrical wire, causing the death of a 55-year-old worker.

Another victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening wounds.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
