Wheaton Way blocked in both directions due to pedestrian accident

BREMERTON, WA – Wheaton Way was blocked in both directions on Wednesday due to an accident involving a pedestrian and a driver near Sheridan Rd.
All north and southbound lanes of traffic on Wheaton Way are blocked due to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the area of Sheridan Rd. Expect a long delay and avoid that area if possible. The Manette bridge would be a good alternative.

According to Bremerton police, the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Police did not confirm any injuries.
The accident scene was cleared by 3 p.m., according to a later tweet from police.
