Two-car injury collision knocks down power lines in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA – Tacoma Police responded to a two-car accident on South 82nd St near Pacific Ave that had knocked down a power pole and power lines in the area.
Traffic advisory! S 82nd St is closed between Pacific Ave and Bell St as well as the inside lane of Pacific Avenue between S 82nd and S 84th St. for a two car collision that knocked down a power pole. Power lines are down. Please use caution in the area. pic.twitter.com/rVwTTfx5mN

According to a tweet from the Tacoma Police Department, the accident happened around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday. Pacific Avenue was closed between S 82nd St and S 84th St while crews repaired the power lines.
Authorities did not comment further on the severity or nature of the injuries.
