TUKWILA, WA – A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after losing control on State Route 599, being ejected from his bike, and getting struck by a passing car.

According to KOMO News, the 33-year-old motorcyclist was speeding at the time of the crash. He lost control on East Marginal Way, ejected from the bike, and was hit by a suspected drunk driver in a Nissan Sentra, who fled the scene.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan abandoned his car and ran on foot, but investigators have identified him as a 23-year-old Renton man.

Investigators plan to charge the Renton man with felony hit-and-run and will investigate further into whether he was under the influence at the time of the accident.
