Snoqualmie, Washington – Five Injured In Wrong-Way Crash

Snoqualmie, Washington (May 28, 2019) – Five people were injured following a crash that involved a van and a passenger car on the Interstate 90. A man and a woman from the van were injured, along with three people from the car. All the victims appeared to be taken to Haborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. According to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson, the woman in the van was critically injured, and a passenger in the blue car suffered a head injury, but there were no further details.

The incident started around 6 p.m. when Snoqualmie Police received a call about a potential kidnapping incident in North Bend mall about a woman being attacked and forced into a van. Later, the same van was also spotted driving erratically on the I-90 at mile post 29. During the police chase, the van went in and out of the lanes and eventually crashed into a passenger car in the wrong lane. The two incidents are being investigated.

Similarly, victims of side collisions and rollover collisions also suffer may also suffer head and neck injuries, though the risk is lower in these types of collisions. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
