Snohomish, Washington – Motorcyclist Killed in Truck Collision, Truck Driver tested Positive for Alcohol

Snohomish, Washington  (July 5, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed  after getting struck by a truck on the 2900 block of Newberg Road. The victim’s identity has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

The collision happened around 3:30 a.m. It is believed that the truck was passing another vehicle and collided head-on with the motorcycle. The truck driver tested positive for alcohol, and has been arrested for vehicular homicide. The driver has been booked into county jail.

While motorcycles are a much-depended means of transportation, drivers should consider factors such as speed, number of other vehicles on the road, the road conditions and weather to ensure their safety while out and about. Be especially cautious when driving at night, as with any other vehicle. Any mistakes in judgement can lead to accidents, injuries and damage not only to your person, but on other people as well.
