BELLEVUE, WA – A police chase last night ended when the fleeing suspect slammed into another vehicle on I-405 near SE 8th Street, KOMO News reports.
The chase began on I-5 at about 10 p.m. yesterday and then moved onto I-90 East, with Washington State Patrol troopers joining Seattle police units. Authorities pursued the suspect across Mercer Island and into Bellevue.
The driver took the exit for I-405 North, eventually colliding with a northbound vehicle as he attempted to double back near SE 8th St.
Troopers shot the suspect with beanbag rounds; emergency responders took him to a nearby hospital for treatment. It is unclear what charges he will eventually face, as is what originally led to the pursuit.
The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
