Man gets swept under Puyallup River, survives cold waters

ORTING, WA – A young man was floating down the Puyallup River in an inner tube Sunday when the tube flipped and he fell into the water without resurfacing, according to KOMO News.
Orting Valley Fire & Rescue teams deployed boats to search for the man, who succeeded in swimming to shore without assistance. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue found him by the river and evaluated him for injuries.
The young man, who has not been identified, was uninjured.
