Firefighters respond to call about capsized sailboat with children onboard

SEATTLE, WA – On Tuesday, Seattle firefighters responded to a call reporting a capsized sailboat in Lake Union near the 800 block of Terry Ave. North.
Crews responded to the 800 Blk. of Terry Ave. N. for report of capsized sailboat. Report of all children who were on sailboat accounted for and safely out of the water. Response cancelled.

Seattle Fire Department tweeted the incident at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, reporting that the children on the sailboat had been accounted for and no injuries were reported.
Crews ensured that everyone involved was safely out of the lake and cancelled requests for additional first responders. It is not clear why the boat capsized or if any adults were onboard with the children.
