Distracted driver lost control of vehicle, crashed into embankment

PORT ORCHARD, WA – A distracted driver veered slightly off the road before overcorrecting and swerving off of State Route 16 into an embankment on July 8.
The driver became distracted, drifted to the left & over corrected to the right, lost control & struck an embankment.

Washington State Trooper Chelsea Hodgson reported the incident via Twitter around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
The accident happened on eastbound State Route 16 near MP 22, according to Hodgson.
The driver emerged from the incident unharmed. Officials did not confirm whether substances were a factor in this accident.
