Collision on SR 2 between Gold Bar, Sultan causes backups

MONROE, WA – A collision on State Route 2 caused a traffic backup on the eastbound and westbound lanes near Old Owen Rd on Monday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the initial accident happened around 3:50 p.m. An hour later, the westbound lanes reopened after the vehicles involved were towed. WSDOT did not report any injuries.
