At least one dead in fatal accident on I-182 in Pasco

PASCO, WA – Washington State Patrol is investigating a fatal collision on westbound Interstate 182 near 4th Avenue that happened sometime Thursday afternoon.
Traffic alert: WSP is at the scene of a fatality collision on I-182 between 4th and 20th Ave in Pasco. W/B lanes are completely closed and a detour is set up at 4th Ave. Please avoid the area if at all possible.

According to a tweet from WSP Trooper Thorson, the accident happened around 4 p.m. on Thursday. The westbound lanes of I-182 were closed between 4th Ave and 20th Ave while officials investigated. It is not clear how the accident happened or how many vehicles are involved. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
