Yakima pedestrian hit by SUV in critical condition
Request Free ConsultationYAKIMA, WA — A 26-year-old woman was critically injured Monday when she was struck by an SUV at an intersection in western Yakima, according to the Yakima Herald.
Carollee Boss had been walking along North 40th Avenue approaching Tieton Drive on May 24 when the SUV struck her in a crosswalk, said Yakima police. Witnesses recount the vehicle traveling east along Tieton Drive, attempting to turn right onto North 40th Avenue.
Police say that the driver was alert to traffic but did not see the woman prior to the incident. Authorities have determined that no impairment was involved.
Boss was initially rushed to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital but has since been transferred to Harborview Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.
