Wrong-way driver causes head-on collision in Everett

EVERETT, WA – Troopers with the Washington State Patrol were forced to shut down multiple lanes on I-5 following a head-on collision Tuesday morning.

According to King 5 News, the incident took place at about 9:40 a.m. along the northbound lanes of the interstate just south of Broadway.

Troopers say the unidentified driver responsible for the crash was traveling south in the northbound lanes when they collided head-on with another vehicle.

The individual who caused the crash was hospitalized with serious injuries. The other person involved sustained minor injuries as a result.

All northbound lanes were shut down for about two hours, reopening shortly after 11:30 a.m.
