Woman struck by train on East Bay Street under I-5 in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA – First responders were called to East Bay Street under the I-5 overpass on Saturday night after receiving reports of a woman who was hit by a train.

According to South Sound News, first responders from the Tacoma Fire Department and Tacoma police found the woman in a nearby ditch still breathing. The woman sustained critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital’s trauma center.

Officials are still investigating.
