MOXEE, WA (YAKIMA COUNTY) – A woman died in a three-vehicle collision on SR-24 in Moxee Wednesday afternoon, according to YakTriNews.

The accident occurred near the intersection of SR-24 and Rivard Road at about 4 p.m. when 28-year-old Christie A. Cox, of Moxee, drove a Toyota Corolla into the path of a semi-truck.

The truck, driven by Selah man Yeltsin G. Garduno, 28, then collided with the Corolla.

Another semi-truck went off the road in order to avoid colliding with the other vehicles.

Cox was taken to the hospital in Seattle and there died of her injuries.

The other drivers were not injured in the crash.

Authorities do not believe at this time that intoxication was a factor in the collision.
