Victims of single-vehicle crash near Gig Harbor identified

PIERCE COUNTY, WA – The identities of the 26-year-old man and woman killed in a crash with two trees in Artondale near Gig Harbor has been released.

According to a report from the News Tribune, the woman was behind the wheel of the Toyota Prius on 40th Street NW in Artondale when she lost control at 83rd Avenue NW on Saturday at about 8 p.m. The vehicle caught the guidewire of a utility pole then struck two trees before landing off the road.

Michele Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, as was Noah Skolnik.

The cause of the accident remains unclear.
