FEDERAL WAY, WA – A records technician for the Seattle Police Department is being charged with felony assault after shooting a man during a road rage incident last Saturday.

According to the Kent Reporter, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed the charge of a first-degree felony assault with a deadly weapon against Peter L. Garrido, 30, on June 18.

The road rage incident occurred Saturday, June 13, around 1:00 p.m. at the south 320th Street exit on highway I-5. Washington State Patrol arrived at the scene to find the 30-year-old victim shot in the abdomen, with his wife and daughter still in the car, uninjured.

Garrido’s bail is currently set at $300,000 because officials believe he may be a flight risk. After the road rage shooting, he removed his license plates and attempted to destroy evidence.

Garrido is expected to enter a plea at Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent on July 1 at 9:00 a.m.
