YAKIMA, WA – Two pedestrians were hit and one was seriously injured when a driver suspected of being drunk hit them near North Sixth Avenue and Gordon Road on Friday.

According to the Yakima Herald, the 55-year-old driver of a white Ford Expedition hit a 28-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man. The woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, where she is being treated for life-threatening injuries, including a brain bleed. The 47-year-old man was taken to Virginia Mason Memorial where he is being treated for minor injuries.

Police arrested the driver after a brief chase and booked him into the Yakima County jail. The driver has three prior DUI convictions, according to the Herald.
